** Coming soon from the Climate Change Committee:
The Sixth Carbon Budget
------------------------------------------------------------
Date for your diary: 9th December 2020 – publication of our advice to Government on the Sixth Carbon Budget.

Why’s this important?

The Sixth Carbon Budget, required under the UK Climate Change Act, will provide Ministers with the Climate Change Committee’s recommendation on the level of greenhouse gases the UK can emit during the period 2033-2037. Supported by ground-breaking new CCC analysis, the Sixth Carbon Budget will set out the detailed pathway to meeting the UK’s Net Zero target in 2050 for the first time.

What can I expect?

There’s going to be lots of new analysis from us including a dedicated area on the new CCC website to make it as easy as possible to find the information you need. There will also be plenty of detail for those who want it: policy and methodology reports, supporting research and datasets. Visit our homepage ([link removed]) on 9th December to find out more.

How can I get involved?

We have an impressive schedule of open events to help you digest our work on the Sixth Carbon Budget. Included below are timings (in GMT) and sign-up links. We are aiming to post video recordings of these events on our website.
