CBS: Trump Retweets Video Falsely Claiming Ilhan Omar Danced On 9/11
Anniversary
PCCC co-founder Adam Green posted the original video -- and it was of
Ilhan dancing at a Congressional Black Caucus event on September 13th!
WASHINGTON POST: Rep. Omar says Trump ‘put my life at risk’ after he
retweeted a false claim that she ‘partied’ on 9/11 anniversary
Ilhan Omar Tweeted, "What is Twitter doing to combat this misinformation?"

he removes his post.
Good news: The original false post that Trump retweeted has been taken
down.
Horrible news: Trump's Tweet remains up, drawing eyeballs and Retweets to
violence-inducing comments spurred by the now-removed Tweet. Such as:

Other comments from Trump supporters say, "Ilhan Omar is the most
dangerous person to ever be elected to public office in the history of the
earth" and "Which flag does @IlhanMN pledge her allegiance to?" and "She
is clearly in bed with the terrorists." All based on Trump's Retweet of a
clear lie.
[ [link removed] ]Twitter recently suspended Mitch McConnell's Twitter account in a
similar situation until he deleted a violence-inducing Tweet. Tell Twitter
to do the same for Trump's account now!
Congresswomen Rashida Tlaib, Pramila Jayapal, and Ayanna Pressley have
joined our call with Rep. Omar for Twitter to take action. CNN's Jake
Tapper, MSNBC's Chris Hayes and Zerlina Maxwell, and conservative writer
Tim Miller have called out this clear misinformation.
VOX: Twitter temporarily locked McConnell’s campaign account...the
decision was made because the account had tweeted content that violated
its “violent threats policy, specifically threats involving physical
safety.”
CNBC: Twitter hid the video on the account, but replies from the Team
Mitch account in the same thread characterizing the language in the video
as “serious calls to physical violence” ...The campaign will have to
remove the tweet in order to regain the ability to post on the account,
according to an information page linked in place of the tweet.
