Dear John,

During this week of Thanksgiving, would you join me in praising the Lord for the remarkable ways this year He has provided for those we serve? Truly, God has blessed Prison Fellowship with:

- The resources and connections necessary to distribute more than 38,000 Bibles to prisons since July.
- The relationships that made it possible to host “outside-in” Hope Events <[link removed]> that bring encouragement and the Gospel message to prisoners even during the pandemic.
- The creativity to launch new programs, such as Floodlight <[link removed]>, and a new virtual version of our Angel Tree Christmas <[link removed]> program.
- The dedicated staff and volunteers who find new and innovative ways to provide community and restoration through our Prison Fellowship Academy <[link removed]> program.
- The ongoing influence and favor that have resulted in the passing of priority legislation, including important police reform in Virginia and second chances for prisoner firefighters in California <[link removed]>.
- The divine appointments and connections that result in new ministry partnerships, including the one we just launched with The Salvation Army <[link removed]> in California.

We have seen the Lord work powerfully in the ministry this year! But we have also all weathered a long season of stress and uncertainty. During this time, I have repeatedly needed to turn away from things that don’t refresh my soul and intentionally turn toward those things that feed and nurture my faith and spirit.

I find myself returning time and again to this verse in Matthew:

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

And I am reminded again and again that only the Lord can provide true refreshment and rest for our souls.

This Thanksgiving, I pray you and your family have time with the Lord, together praising Him for His faithfulness and resting in His gracious presence.

Everyone here at Prison Fellowship extends our most heartfelt thanks for your faithful support <[link removed]> of the work the Lord has given us to do. If you or your family have prayer needs <[link removed]> we could lift up as we gather together as a team, we would be honored to have you share those with us.
Thanking Him,
