Hello John,

Republican legislators have passed hundreds of laws meant to undermine the legitimacy of Roe v. Wade in the Supreme Court. Now that anti-choice Amy Coney Barrett has solidified a conservative 6-3 majority in the Supreme Court, Republicans might just get their ultimate wish to control women’s bodily autonomy.

That is unless Democrats finally take the long-overdue step to codify Roe v. Wade into federal law. According to Vox, “codifying Roe v. Wade would make women’s right to abortion a federal law” by passing legislation in Congress that guarantess women in every state have the right to access abortion care, even if the far-right Supreme Court overturns the landmark case.

Without this safety net in place, states would immediately be able to criminalize abortion if Roe v. Wade is overturned -- and considering how hard Republicans have fought to eliminate a woman’s right to choose, there’s no doubt that our reproductive rights are in jeopardy.

We refuse to stand idle while the GOP prepares to cause irreparable damage to women’s rights across the country. We are placing all of our support behind a woman’s right to her own body and if we’re going to influence Democratic legislators, we NEED you with us. Please, tell us now:

Do you support codifying Roe v. Wade into federal law?
