Dr. Arnn offers a breathtaking glimpse of the state of our nation today from his position leading one of America’s finest academic institutions, which courageously reopened its campus this fall against intense governmental pressure. Beautifully, Dr. Arnn calls for a renewed dedication to the politics of freedom and a scholarship of those politics. Such devotion and scholarship—pillars of the Claremont Institute’s “grand strategy,” as Dr. Arnn says—will reveal the beauty of truth and freedom, leaving no cause for despair, even during despairing times. Due to COVID guidelines and restrictions, our galas (we were forced to split them into two separate events) were smaller and more intimate than in the past.
