On this day in 1921 President Warren G. Harding signs the Willis Campell Act, better known as the anti-beer bill. It forbids doctors to prescribe beer or liquor for medicinal purposes. Didn’t know that was ever a thing! On a more serious note, small businesses continue to die around the country as a result of heavy-handed Covid lockdowns imposed by governors who don’t understand the first thing about running a business.
