On this day in 1921 President Warren G. Harding signs the Willis Campell Act, better known as the anti-beer bill. It forbids doctors to prescribe beer or liquor for medicinal purposes. Didn’t know that was ever a thing! On a more serious note, small businesses continue to die around the country as a result of heavy-handed Covid lockdowns imposed by governors who don’t understand the first thing about running a business. ALG’s Frank McCaffrey shares the story of one small business that recently closed and what it meant to him. Also, as the Supreme Court considers, yet again, the fate of Obamacare, one man shares his story of why it needs to end.
