Just days before Marine Corps veteran Tyler Main was planning to embark on a longtime dream — a move to a cabin in the woods near his hometown in Arkansas — life threw a major curveball.

While out saying goodbye to friends, his apartment caught fire. Most of his belongings were already packed up in boxes ready to be moved — and much of it was lost.

Thankfully, with support from caring friends like you, DAV was able to step in and help. Tyler was given a DAV Disaster Relief grant to help him get back on his feet after the devastation.

Whenever veterans are in need — whether they’ve been affected by a fire or natural disaster, have lost work or had to close their business due to the COVID-19 pandemic, or are struggling to get the health care and benefits they’ve earned — DAV is there.

But we can’t do this work for veterans without you.
