Last week we officially kicked off our campaign. This campaign is not about Dianne, it’s about us. We’re not running to protect corporate power. We’re building this movement for ourselves and our families. We’re fighting for our parents, our children, our grandchildren — for the future we deserve. 

Dianne has a plan that will change NYC for the better. A New York City that stands for Climate Action. Not only will our movement ensure the development of Renewable Rikers, but we will expand bike lanes and open streets throughout the city. We will not be held hostage by the fossil fuel industry.

Communities deserve representation in City Hall. Dianne’s staff will be composed of individuals that not only look and speak like our diverse city, but reflect our myriad of experiences and shared values. Dianne will bring City Hall to you! With mobile Mayor’s Offices staffed by people of the community, who speak the languages and know their experiences.

People need to know that when they call for help, that’s what they’ll get. Most 911 calls do not require an armed officer response. Dianne will build a Community First Responder Department composed of medics, councilors, and mental health professionals trained to address emergency calls. We must divest from the NYPD, who have criminalized whole communities, harass street vendors, and regularly abuse human rights.
