Sixty-two percent (62%) of voters nationwide say that faith or religion ([link removed]) was important to them during the coronavirus outbreak.[1] ([link removed])
In terms of re-opening, 57% believe that businesses and places of worship should have equal priority. Twenty-two percent (22%) thought businesses should have a higher priority, while an identical 22% thought the opposite.[1] ([link removed])
Forty-eight percent (48%) believe outdoor religious services and outdoor protests should have equal priority before the law. Thirty-five percent (35%) believed outdoor religious services should have a higher priority. Seventeen percent (17%) thought the protests deserved a higher priority.[1] ([link removed])
The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty's _Religious Freedom Index_ also found that 78% of voters say religion is at least somewhat important to providing stability to society during times of social unrest. That includes 42% who consider it absolutely essential or very important.[1] ([link removed])
