Dear Jack,

I hope you and your family are doing well during these tough times. I'm sending weekly Bulletins so that you have all the latest updates you need.

Small Business Commending Resolutions

We have some incredible small businesses here in the 13th District, and it's a great honor for me to be able to recognize them with commending resolutions in the General Assembly. This year, we recognized The Difference Baker, a certified gluten-free and allergen-friendly bakery and commercial kitchen that opened in Ashburn in 2019. It was great to drop by The Difference Baker this week to give them their commending resolution (and pick up some amazing cinnamon rolls)!

In addition, another small business that we've recognized with a commending resolution, Catoctin Creek Distillery, won several award, including the People's Choice award, at the annual Loudoun Small Business Awards for their exemplary craft liquors and service to the community during the pandemic. We congratulate them for their success and for their service to our community!

If you know of a local small business in Loudoun or Prince William County that should be recognized by the General Assembly, please let us know and email us at [email protected].

#LoudounIsReady Business Grants

Loudoun Economic Development is launching a grant program for 50 Loudoun businesses to help offset the costs of outdoor seating during the winter. The grants will be $5,000 apiece to help with heating and tenting costs. You can read more and apply for the program here.
