John,

We have a historic chance to elect a leading civil rights activist and
racial justice advocate to one of the most important executive branch
offices in the United States.

Maya Wiley is running to be the next mayor of New York City and if elected
she will bring bold leadership and a new kind of experience to the office.

Maya is known nationally for her work on racial justice and equity. As a
leader in city government, she delivered for New York City on a range of
issues including civil and immigrant rights, women and minority-owned
business contracts, and universal broadband access.

After serving as Counsel to the Mayor, Maya left City Hall in order to
hold police accountable as Chair of the Civilian Complaint Review Board.

Maya's experience extends to her extensive work on education where she
improved public education as a Co-Chair of the School Diversity Task Force
and At the New School, where she served as a University Professor and
founded the Digital Equity Laboratory on universal and inclusive
broadband.

Maya is running a campaign powered by people and will use her experience
to expand the electorate by registering, engaging, and mobilizing
underserved communities whose voters typically get left behind.

Now, Maya needs our support in her fight against corporate entities that
don't want to address the issues impacting people across New York City.

Will you rush a contribution today to Maya Wiley and DFA to help elect
this bold progressive? Anything you can pitch in right now will make a
difference:

Across that nation and in our biggest city, our government has been rigged
to work against lower-income and working families. Electing corporate
politicians that kowtow to the concerns of Wall Street will not bring the
changes we need.

By electing a bold leader that will fearlessly confront the realities New
Yorkers face, we can send a message to Wall Street interests that their
days of buying politicians, both in New York City and across the United
States, are coming to an end.

Maya understands the progressive change we need and knows how to fight to
get it done.

If we’re going to make real change in this country, we have to replace
corporate Democrats with real progressives like Maya. Someone who will
fight every day for working people, not the wealthy and well connected.

Make no mistake, this will be an uphill fight. Maya’s opponents will have
the support of the corporate establishment. That means Maya is going to
need overwhelming grassroots support to win this race.

Rush a split contribution to Maya and DFA today. Let’s help this
progressive become the next mayor of New York City and get to work
fighting for the change we need:

Thank you for helping DFA support bold progressives like Maya. We know
this is a difficult time for people across the country, and it’s hard to
spend time thinking about elections while we’re all focused on keeping
ourselves and our families safe and healthy this thanksgiving.

But by opening this email, pitching in to help elect progressives like
Maya, organizing in our communities, and making our voices heard we can
make real change for people across this country.

Thank you again for being a part of DFA.
