Here is the truth:

When you repeatedly stand up to entrenched power structures in Albany and prioritize the needs of working families, you tend to make a lot of enemies — people and businesses fighting hard to protect the status quo. And that means we have to be at the top of our game in every political cycle.

There is NOTHING more critical for advancing our agenda than having a strong start for this coming year.

Not just in terms of how much money we raise, but just as important is the number of donations we receive. And this first fundraising deadline is a key milestone that many will be paying attention to, to gauge who has strong support from the community. So here’s the part where I ask:

Can you make a contribution, of any amount you can afford, before our first official fundraising deadline of the campaign comes to a close? I would not ask if it were not such an important part of building political power.

Shortly after this deadline ends, we’re going to file our first official fundraising report of the cycle. And like I said, it’s not just about how much money we raise, but how many people are chipping in to power this campaign.
