Every major bank in the country refuses to fund drilling in Alaska's pristine Arctic National Wildlife Refuge -- except one: Bank of America.[1]

The Arctic Refuge spans 19.3 million acres -- the size of South Carolina -- and it's as plentiful as it is vast.[2] Across the beautiful lands live hundreds of nature's most incredible species.

But the Trump administration just announced that it will rush to auction off parts of the Arctic Refuge to oil and gas companies in the next two months, which would irreversibly damage the land and wildlife that call the refuge home.[3]

The drilling could drive nearly 70 species of birds to extinction, the heavy vehicles used to search for oil would crush dens and kill polar bears, and the Porcupine caribou herd could lose its ancestral calving ground.[4,5,6]

All for just a little more oil.

With your support, we've already delivered thousands of petition signatures to decision-makers urging them not to allow or expand oil drilling in the Arctic Refuge. We've joined a lawsuit to challenge the Trump administration's push to drill here and we helped to pass a bill in the U.S. House of Representatives that protects the coastal plain of the refuge.
