Donald Trump is still confident he can win. He even recently declared, “Never bet against me.”
Why is Trump feeling so good? Just ask Republican Senator Ted Cruz. Cruz is a lawyer -- one of the members of the legal team that helped give George W. Bush the election in 2000, as a matter of fact. Suffice it to say, he’s an expert on stealing elections. And Cruz knows he and the GOP still have a month left to steal the election for Donald Trump.
We can stop them. There has been zero evidence so far of the kind of voter fraud Trump and his allies are alleging. Joe Biden has already been congratulated on his win by multiple world leaders. It would be tough for the Republicans to keep Trump in the White House now.
But it wouldn’t be impossible. Speaking of his successful legal win for President Bush in 2000, Cruz said, “It went twice to the Florida Supreme Court. It went twice to the U.S. Supreme Court. It took 36 days to resolve, and we got an answer. I would expect a similar process to play out here.”
Cruz wants another court battle like the one he won before. Trump wants one too. And now, according to the New York Times, Cruz is even suggesting “the matter might not be resolved until the members of the Electoral College [meet] to vote in mid-December.”
Please, friend, there’s no way we can let this drag out that long. Every day that goes by is another chance for the wily legal minds of the GOP to come up with a scheme to steal the election. We need to be prepared for anything they throw at us -- and right now, we’re not. Though we’ve had a few incredibly generous donors, the vast majority of Democrats are not giving -- and we need all hands on deck to stop 2020 from becoming 2000.
