Trump has clearly lost this election, despite his attempts to overturn the results. But as we look forward to Joe Biden taking the oath of office in January, we cannot stop being vigilant NOW. Trump can still cause considerable harm and we must keep fighting against his attempts to undermine our democracy.

For example, a couple weeks ago Trump signed an executive order creating a new classification for federal employees that would reclassify masses of the federal workforce as at-will employees -- meaning they can be fired at any time.

This would clear the way for Donald Trump to politicize the civil service and fire anyone who is not loyal to the President. We can't allow this to happen -- sign on to demand Trump reverse this executive order now! [[link removed]]

This may seem like a niche issue, but it could have far-reaching consequences for the many hardworking career civil servants who call our district in Northern Virginia home.

I am proud to be leading the charge to protect our neighbors and am already working with my colleagues in the House to fight back against this hyperpartisan executive order. We're calling for implementation of this order to be halted and have also introduced legislation to block it in the House.
