We agree with the Washington Post editorial board. It is "just plain wrong" for Republicans to deny Congressional representation to hundreds of thousands of tax-paying citizens, many of whom fought in service of their country, simply because it would result in two more Democratic senators.
Wouldn't it be more fair if D.C. residents got the representation they deserved -- and wouldn't it be nice if Democrats didn't have to win two special elections in Georgia in order to take back the senate? Demanding statehood for D.C. could solve both problems in one fell swoop, but we need Americans to come together in support of the idea first: Could you tell us where you stand?
