The COVID-19 pandemic is hurting our communities — and our hotel and food service workers are especially impacted. The Boston Globe just reported that the Boston hotel market is the hardest hit in the country:
"Through September, Boston-area hotels had the largest declines in occupancy, average daily rate, and revenue per available room — the three major metrics of hotel performance — of any major metropolitan area in the country this year."
We’re coming to you today to ask if you can afford to chip in $3 to support Boston-area food service and hospitality workers who have been impacted by COVID-19 ahead of Thanksgiving next week.
Contribute $3
Ayanna was a hotel worker for six years in Boston, so supporting and uplifting this community of workers is deeply personal for her. Your contribution will go towards supporting hospitality workers to maintain health insurance, replace lost wages, retrain for new jobs during the economic crisis, and pay for food, rent, and utilities.
Being a part of community means supporting each other through challenging times. A donation today could mean that a family is able to pay their rent or purchase groceries.
If you can afford to, please chip in $3 right now to support a hospitality worker in Boston who is facing financial difficulties because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Every single contribution will make a difference.
Thank you for supporting workers and being a part of our community.
In appreciation,
The A-Team
