Honored to Serve as the Republican Whip
I’m honored to have the continued confidence and support of my colleagues to serve another term as the Republican Whip. For these past six years, it has been the privilege of a lifetime to serve as the Whip. Our Republican conference is stronger and more unified than ever, and I am energized to work with this large and diverse new freshman class to continue the fight for our shared conservative values. Speaker Pelosi’s shift to the socialist left was soundly rejected by millions of voters across the country, along with their radical attempts to defund police, ban fossil fuels, and raise taxes on hard-working families.
These next two years will be a battle for the future direction of America and House Republicans will use every available opportunity to fight against Democrats’ socialist agenda while uniting the country behind a bold conservative vision that delivers results for hard-working families.

One of the great distinctions of serving in House leadership is the honor of having an office in the historic United States Capitol. The office I reside in has more than a 200 year history, including serving for many years as the House Majority Leader’s office, which includes such giants as Tip O’Neill, and notably for Louisiana, then-Majority Leader Hale Boggs.
One of the traditions of my office has been that the Architect of the Capitol imprints the state seal for each person who resides there. By installing the updated Louisiana State Seal inside my office, we’ve added another permanent mark dedicated to the State of Louisiana inside the U.S. Capitol, which will remain for years to come. It is a great honor to be able to leave another permanent mark from the great State of Louisiana on the historic U.S. Capitol.

More Good News On the COVID-19 Vaccine
On Friday, Pfizer announced they have asked the FDA for Emergency Use Authorization for their COVID-19 vaccine. According to Pfizer and BioNTech, filing for Emergency Use Authorization in the U.S. is a critical step in making their vaccine candidate available to the global population as quickly as possible
As a reminder, Pfizer and BioNTech SE announced that their COVID-19 vaccine candidate was found to be over 90% effective in preventing COVID-19 during their Phase 3 clinical study.
This announcement proves that President Trump’s whole-of-America response to defeat the virus is producing results in record time. Under the President’s strong leadership, the Department of Health and Human Services and the FDA have broken through bureaucratic barriers to deliver therapeutics and forthcoming vaccines to combat COVID-19.
As a result of Operation Warp Speed, 20 million doses of the first vaccine will be made available to the American people in a matter of weeks. This is an historic accomplishment and Americans should have confidence that they will have access to a safe and effective vaccine.
