Allentown is a smaller, but rapidly growing city. Everywhere I go, I see people of all different backgrounds that have come to Allentown in the hopes of finding opportunities for themselves and their families, and they deserve leaders who can keep up with the growing pains we’ve been experiencing by implementing policies that can support us.

I'm tired of the inaction and out-of-touch leadership that's harming our city. That's why you'll find me out in the community, talking to people and asking them what they need, not telling them what they need from behind a desk. I learn more about ways to make this city better at the laundromat than in boardrooms.

And don’t get me wrong, some of these problems are deep-rooted and complex. The people of this city need programs that reflect that. Every neighborhood in Allentown should have access to fresh food, healthcare, mental health services, and transportation to a job with a living wage. We need to break down the barriers that disable some of our citizens from getting affordable housing.

None of these problems have a quick fix, but I am dedicated to digging in and laying the foundation to combat them. I am tired of inaction. This campaign is going to be completely people-powered because you are the ones I am going to fight for.

Many of you reading this might not live in Allentown, but please know that your support in this fight is still essential to our country's future. If we're going to move forward as a nation, it starts with making progressive change in the struggling cities that need it most.
