President Trump is an enemy of democracy — but we aren’t surprised by that.
He has shown nothing but disdain for our democratic process and our cherished institutions since he entered office.
He claimed he would’ve won the popular vote in 2016 if not for nebulous “illegal votes” — despite his own sham voter fraud commission finding that there was no evidence to back up his lies.
He and his cronies refused to cooperate with Congressional inquiries — undercutting the checks and balances that make our system tick.
He tried to destroy the postal service to sabotage mail-in-voting — and he partially succeeded.
And now, he’s trying to sow doubt and discord about Joe Biden’s landslide victory.
Despite Donald Trump’s own legal team testifying time and time again before the court that there is no evidence of systemic voting fraud, he keeps parroting the same debunked conspiracy theories. And this is setting a terrible example for Republicans across the country, who are falling for his “voting fraud” con.
Take a look at my 2020 opponent Johsie Cruz, who is also refusing to concede and is working day and night to overturn the results of the 2020 election. She is working to silence democratic voices because Donald Trump and his cronies have pushed this poison and these lies. It’s heartbreaking to watch.
