Earlier this week, we co-hosted the first and incredibly successful virtual 2020 Secretary of State forum featuring the six candidates running for this open constitutional office in our state.

More than 300 Mainers, including nearly three dozen state legislators and Gov. Mills, tuned in for this unique opportunity to hear from each candidate and for all of us to interact with lawmakers.

Members of the Legislature elect the Secretary of State every two years, and you can have a voice in the process. We've prepared some resources so you can get involved:

2) Learn about the candidates. Each candidate filled out a short survey to help us understand their visions for this position. You can find and compare their answers to each question on our website here.

3) Contact your lawmakers. Now that you've learned about each candidate, it's time to let your lawmakers know where you stand on this important decision.
