Donald Trump is meeting with Republican state legislators from Michigan this afternoon in yet another attempt to invalidate the election. The President’s lawyers are openly trying to steal the election by improperly encouraging Republican state legislatures to appoint new electors to overturn the will of the people.

Such an action would be illegal and deeply unpatriotic.

The President and the Michigan legislature should know that I am prepared to take them to court if they interfere with the will of the voters by appointing new electors or taking any other unlawful action.

My office is already in touch with our coalition partners. We will succeed in protecting our democracy.

The voters spoke — and Donald Trump must listen.
