Friend --
As I reflect on this past year and this historic election, I keep returning to
one extraordinary person and her efforts: Stacey Abrams.
After putting up a tough fight in Georgia's 2018 gubernatorial race -- one
rampant with voter suppression, especially of Black voters -- Stacey committed
her time and her energy to registering and enfranchising hundreds of thousands
of voters that the system often willfully suppresses or simply forgets.
Stacey Abrams and her organization Fair Fight registered more than 800,000
first-time voters in Georgia over the past two years. As it currently stands,
Joe Biden has won Georgia by more than 10,000 votes. This was the first time
that a Democrat won Georgia's 16 electoral votes in almost three decades.
We owe Stacey a debt of gratitude. But first, we owe it to Stacey to help her
finish what she started in Georgia.
Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock are locked in tight runoff campaigns for
Georgia's two Senate seats. The entire balance of the Senate lies in these final
two seats, and both candidates are neck-and-neck with their Republican
opponents.
We can win both seats on January 5th, landing Democrats a 50-50 tie in the
Senate, with Vice President-elect Harris as the tiebreaker vote.
We're so close to a Democratic majority and to a new beginning in 2021. You can
help us cross that finish line today by helping these two candidates cross
theirs in Georgia.
Donate today to Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock so we can flip the
Senate in January and solidify Stacey Abrams' fight to turn Georgia blue for
years to come.
