Recommendations for Reforming U.S. Health Care Delivery and Payment

High rates of deaths from complications of pregnancy and childbirth in the United States reflect several factors, according to a new international comparison from the Commonwealth Fund. In reviewing the oral arguments made last week in the latest challenge to the Affordable Care Act, health law expert Timothy Jost observed that the majority of Supreme Court justices appear to reject the argument that the ACA is not “severable” from the individual mandate.
