Democrat,

Thanks to the hard work of so many people around our state and the country, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will be sworn in as the next President and Vice President of the United States in January. That is just a fact, and none of the desperate, divisive and dangerous actions being taken by President Trump to undermine and delay the transition process will stop that.

However, not everyone seems to recognize this basic truth. With few exceptions, Republican leaders in New Jersey have been absolutely silent on President Trump’s refusal to concede the election. They don’t seem to care that the President’s actions could damage the incoming administration’s COVID-19 response, vaccine distribution plans and economic recovery agenda. They don’t care that this intransigence undermines our national security. They just don’t care about anything but their own petty politics.

This should be all the proof we need that the fight isn’t over. Democrats must stay engaged, stay active and stay vigilant heading into a crucial election year in 2021 here in New Jersey, when we must work to re-elect Governor Murphy, Lt. Governor Oliver and our Democratic legislators.

Make a contribution to NJDSC today to show that you’re still in the fight.

With the second wave of COVID-19 now upon us, Governor Murphy and his team are continuing to lead us through this crisis by following science and data and putting people first. The Governor put into place new restrictions on indoor gatherings, capping the number of attendees at 10. This is particularly important as we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, where Governor Murphy is calling on New Jerseyans to celebrate only with immediate family to help slow the spread of the virus.

For up to date information regarding new cases and directives regarding coronavirus, visit the state’s dedicated COVID-19 Information Hub or follow Governor Murphy’s official pages on social media.
