This is a really hard email to write.

My race for CA-21 is STILL too close to call.

I'm desperately short of raising the $12,071 I need to prepare for a recount.

Quite frankly, I will lose this race without the funds to ensure EVERY ballot is accounted for. I'm humbly asking you to chip in to save my Democratic campaign >> [link removed]

I wasn't raised to give up when things get hard.

My parents defied the odds when they came to this country as immigrants.

My mom defied the odds when she raised my siblings and me after my father passed away much too young.

I defied the odds when I won this Republican stronghold by just 862 votes in 2018 even though it required we fight for over a MONTH after the election.

I also know that no one makes it on their own. I won because grassroots donors like you refused to surrender to the GOP's power.

Now I'm asking for your help to defy the odds once again.

I will not rest until every vote is counted and every voice is heard in my district. Will you chip in $5 to help us close our budget gap and be prepared for a potential recount?
