Sinclair Broadcast Group, a company which owns and operates 193 local TV stations across the country, has proven itself to be a vessel for right-wing propaganda. Just recently, they pushed a debunked conspiracy theory about election fraud in Michigan in an effort to prop up Trump's bogus "election rigging" claims.

However, even as Sinclair pushes this false claim, another incident proves that Sinclair can be pressured into canceling some of its more outrageous segments.
In October, Sinclair planned to run a monologue in which conservative personality Eric Bolling falsely claimed that COVID-19 was engineered in a Chinese lab and that social distancing and masks do not work. However, the monologue was discovered by watchdog group Media Matters, and Sinclair received so much blowback that it decided to edit out Bolling's most extreme claims.

This incident shows that even conservative propagandists can feel shame - and that pressure can work.
That's why we're sponsoring this petition to keep the pressure on Sinclair by hitting them where it hurts: their profits. We need 1,000 people from xxxxxx to pledge to stop watching Sinclair-run stations until they stop broadcasting right-wing propaganda. Will you click here and pledge to switch off Sinclair?

"News" stations should not parrot right-wing propaganda or peddle conspiracy theories. Thanks for standing up for what's right.
