Join The Center and RiseOut for “Pride & Justice: A Talk on LGBTQ Rights and Criminal Justice Reform,” a conversation about the barriers to justice and economic opportunity for people of color and LGBTQ people within an inherently flawed criminal justice system.
The evening will begin with a social hour, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Shijuade Kadree (she/her), The Center’s Chief Advocacy Officer, and featuring experts on LGBTQ advocacy and criminal justice reform. The speakers include:

- Zellie Imani (he/him), Black Liberation Collective
- George M. Johnson (he/him), Afropunk
This event is presented by The Center’s advocacy initiative, RiseOut, in partnership with Twitter and supported by our co-sponsors Brooklyn NAACP, Girls for Gender Equity, The Fortune Society, The Legal Aid Society, SOULE, VOCAL New York and MOBI NYC.
Open to those age 21+ and registration is required. ID is required for entry as alcohol will be served at the event. We hope to see you there!
