To say that 2020 has been unprecedented is an understatement. As we battle COVID-19, high profile cases of police brutality, White supremacist rallies, and acts of antisemitism have more clearly revealed the racism that still runs rampant within our society and its systems. For those who experience racism on a consistent basis, this is not news. However, many others are just beginning to seek greater understanding of the issues behind racism in our society and to identify specific actions that can be taken to eradicate it.
Because we’re committed to living faithfully and providing resources to help our audience do the same, the Christian Century has curated several articles on racism to help you reflect and take action.
We have assembled these articles, along with study questions and suggested action steps, into a free downloadable conversation guide, "Acting Against Racism."
We invite you to prayerfully read and reflect on these articles, questions, and suggested activities. You may consider reading the conversation guide individually, discussing it with a group of friends or colleagues, or engaging in virtual conversation by joining our Facebook discussion group.
