We have to go all out right now. If we can block him ? even for a few weeks ? we win. The Gwich'in people, whose way of life depends on the Refuge, are mounting a response to protect the land. We're backing them up by pressuring banks and oil companies to back out. But after months of must-win political fights, the truth is we need your help to keep this campaign going.

And if we lose here, Arctic drilling is just the start. He's already moving to allow logging and other forms of development in Alaska's Tongass National Forest. He's fired the top scientist responsible for the National Climate Assessment, replacing him with a climate change denier.

We're preparing for the worst. Our teams are expecting imminent announcements to suppress science at the EPA, approve seismic testing to open the door to more offshore drilling, gut the Endangered Species Act, and create new loopholes to allow oil, gas, and coal companies to avoid royalty payments owed to taxpayers.

It's an incredibly dangerous time for the environment, where Trump has little accountability for any damage he does on his way out the door.

But each of these are fights we can win. Trump only has a short window left in office, and his administration is a total mess right now. Any roadblocks the environmental movement can put up ? whether it's through legal action, campaigning, or preparing the Biden administration to reverse course ? we win.

But we really can't wait. Together we elected an administration with the strongest mandate for climate action and environmental justice in U.S. history. We can't let Trump dismantle our country's environmental infrastructure ? not when we're SO close.
