PopEd’s Fall Quarterly Theme: Focus on Water
As the world’s population grows, so does the demand for water. Over the past 40 years, the world’s population doubled while water use has quadrupled. Many people on the planet take fresh water supply for granted, using water in excess both directly and indirectly. And yet, one in six people globally does not have access to safe drinking water, and five in six live in areas of water insecurity.
It’s critical that today’s students become informed on population issues, empowered with the knowledge and skills to ensure water access, health, and equity in the years ahead. Learn more about the lesson plans and materials PopEd is sharing through the end of the year to help teachers convey these critical lessons in their classrooms.
