Help us reach children with lifesaving treatment in Yemen and around the world. — DONATE NOW »

For most of the world, cholera is a disease of the past. Unfortunately, for families in Yemen, it's all too present.

More than 885,000 people were suspected to have cholera from January 2018 to July 2019. And nearly a quarter of those infected in 2019 were children under five.

We need your urgent support to reach children who have contracted cholera and to prevent other people from getting this deadly disease. Your immediate gift will help us respond to this epidemic and other disease outbreaks worldwide.

For children with cholera, time is critical. The highly contagious disease can lead to severe dehydration and shock. Unless fluids are replaced quickly, death can occur within hours. That is why we need your support today, not tomorrow.

The IRC is fighting cholera in Yemen and other crisis-affected countries.

In Yemen, with your help, we:

Support health facilities with medicine and medical supplies

  Run diarrhea treatment centers

  Improve water and sanitation systems

Deliver essential drugs and medical supplies to hospitals

Train health staff on cholera treatment

We also provide health, nutrition, water and sanitation services to more than a quarter-million people in Yemen and deliver lifesaving aid across more than 40 countries.

Please make an urgent gift to the IRC now. Your donation will support the IRC's work in Yemen and in many countries around the world.
