Brussels, 20
November 2020 — The European
Movement International has elected its latest Board, including
occupants for the positions of President, Vice Presidents, Treasurer,

organisations deliberate policy and the direction the organisation will take
in the upcoming
year. More in-depth information about this event can be consulted here.
"The real challenge ahead of us is not only the COVID-19

International. Thank you to the more than 60 European Movement
National Councils and International Associations, including major
European political parties, and business organisations, social, and
civic forces for your support," said Eva Maydell MEP after her

About the Federal
Assembly
Every year, the Federal Assembly grants the opportunity for
the European Movement International network to convene. As well as
discussing the state and direction of the organisation, debate on the
big issues facing Europe is keenly encouraged. All member
organisations have the right to be represented by their leadership (or
appointed delegates). The current Board also meets at the margins of
the Federal Assembly, in addition to the Political Committees.
In
2020, on account of the epidemiological situation, the European
Movement International hosted the Federal Assembly online in
collaboration with the European Movement Germany.

pro-European organisations. Founded 70 years ago, it is now present in
34 countries and encompasses 38 International Associations, bringing
together European civil society, business, trade unions, NGOs,
political parties, local authorities and
academia.Today, European
citizens are at the heart of the European Movement International's
work. By offering thought leadership on the issues that confront them,
involving them in the debates on our Union's future, and influencing
policymakers on their behalf, we strive for an open, inclusive,
transparent, and united Europe.
