Situation: We are less than two weeks away from a critical FEC fundraising deadline and are short of where we need to finish the month. And that’s important, because we just got done running ads in Dan McCready’s race and there are a lot of big Senate races ahead.
Mission: Close our fundraising shortfall and put those resources to work flipping the Senate by electing a number of progressive veterans like Amy McGrath and Mark Kelly to the chamber.
Execution: We’ll do that by placing ads elevating the voices of veterans in these key races — places we can run ads that most progressive organizations simply cannot.
Administration / Logistics: As we raise more money, we are able to get involved in more races. And like Nate Silver’s 538 says, “veterans endorsed by VoteVets do better than veterans the organization did not endorse.” When we’re involved, we win. And we can play a decisive role in a number of these races.
