Labor's 321 Update – What you need to know

John,

Here's Labor's 321 Update – you can help make a difference by sharing these stories where you can.

Some sad revelations this week regarding Robodebt practices. What is also sad are the lengths to which the Morrison government has gone to avoid scrutiny on this settlement.

Labor continues to shine a light into the crevices of the Coalition Government but when 7.5% of FOI requests are not answered in a timely manner – it’s not easy.

Also this week Labor’s plans to Rewire the Nation and oppose the cashless debit card.

This week we look at the Robodebt scandal. Scott Morrison has put a 1.2B line under this story. Labor is calling for a Royal Commission. We need to understand who was responsible for this terrible policy and when.

Also this week, we highlight how Labor is on the same page as most OECD countries with a net zero emissions target by 2050. Plus how we would create jobs for this next phase of our country’s development. Also, we highlight how Labor will oppose the cashless debit card.

What’s going on in the Prime Minister’s Office? We know they are not processing Freedom of Information requests. Too busy to look at any more than 7.5% of them. The Guardian reported that “Typically when an FOI request is not decided in time, it is simply deemed to be refused.” Depressing indeed. This as Michael West tries his hardest to find documentation detailing the dismissal of Scott Morrison form Tourism Australia in 2006.

Also this week, when Malcolm calls it as he sees it.

And as Clive Palmer’s wealth is up 124% this year, according to the Financial Review 2020 Rich List, we wonder why Clive needs not only his private jet subsidised but also his stoush with WA supported by the Liberal government. Must be Clive’s bill advertising against Labor, most recently in the Queensland election

Until next time,

Australian Labor

P.S. John, we can’t risk a snap back to the Liberal agenda of cutting services, suppressing wages and undermining job security. Australia needs a plan for the recovery where no one is held back or left behind. We need your help to protect our society from the Liberals.  Will you chip in $5 to help stop the Liberals?
