Friends, control over the Senate – and the direction of Biden’s presidency – is going to come down to two runoff elections in Georgia in January.
Reverend Raphael Warnock is running against Sen. Kelly Loeffler, an unelected multi-millionaire who was under investigation for insider trading after she made millions on the stock market after receiving classified information on COVID-19.
She’s so out of touch with Georgians she ran ads boasting she was “more conservative than Attilla the Hun”, and proudly touted the endorsement of a QAnon supporting candidate from Georgia.
Raphael Warnock couldn’t be any more different – he’s the senior pastor at the same church Martin Luther King Jr. preached at, where he’s fought tirelessly for Medicaid expansion, voting rights, and more progressive causes.
But now, he’s up against both Mitch McConnell and Kelly Loeffler’s massive war chests. They also know how much is riding on the line in this election, and are already spending immense sums of money to cling to their Senate majority.
