Dear Friend,

After asking for your thoughts and feedback on the issues you care about most, we wanted to share what you and your neighbors had to say.

The top three issues among families in PA-04:

COVID-19
Protecting the Environment
Health Care

Social justice, jobs and the economy, and education followed closely. All of these will continue to be the backbone of Mad's legislative agenda as she moves into her second term in Congress.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to rage across the country, Madeleine is committed to passing legislation to assist those who are most vulnerable. She has never stopped connecting individuals and businesses to the financial relief necessary, as well as negotiating with colleagues for a new bill to be brought to the floor and passed as soon as possible.

Protecting the environment and accessing affordable health care have always been two of Mad's top issues. She will continue to fight for a clean planet and access to care—for all of us.

We also wanted to highlight a few notes that we received with the survey:

Lisa G. knows how critical continued access to the ballot box is:
Voting by mail and dropbox was critical during COVID and worked well for my family. Please start NOW to enact laws to continue no-excuse mail-in voting and early in-person, drop-off voting throughout our state and to be able to start counting votes before Election Day.

Tom G. shares Mad's concern about curbing gun violence:
As a veteran, I'm deeply concerned about gun violence. I know first hand the damage that a firearm can do.

We thank Nanette L. for her work, and we want to continue to support those most vulnerable in our communities:
First of all, thank you for your service to PA and our country. I work with food insecurity in the Norristown area with Advocates Against Hunger Serving Norristown and Montgomery County. There is an underserved group with housing and food issues. I am hopeful progress can be made addressing COVID, job loss etc. With winter coming and a spike in the virus, it will get more difficult to keep everyone safe.

Michael H. knows we must support our social safety net:
The protection and support of Medicare and Social Security are my top priorities. and I believe they are priorities for President-elect Biden. We can strengthen our safety net by clawing back some of the billions in tax breaks, giveaways, and write-offs Trump and the Republicans gave away in 2017.

Beryl K. and Maureen M. agree with Mad that our earth must come first:
Truly, I'm interested in all of the issues in the survey, but without addressing climate change, we are doomed—and without good health, people can't work.

We must have a better awareness of what we do as individuals, and we need to educate ourselves in regards to the environment. We need to clean up our environment, improve health care, educate our children. Everyone needs to play a part in getting rid of COVID.

We're thrilled that Madelyn M. is part of Team Dean:
After following your campaign for a few years and seeing you in DC, I was so excited to be able to vote for you for the first time after turning 18.

Thank you to everyone that participated in our survey. Mad and all of us on Team Dean will continue to fight on behalf of PA-04 and all Pennsylvanians in her second term.
