I'd like to share some very exciting news with you, today I am announcing my campaign has not, and will not, accept a single penny from corporate PACs. Period.
The role of money in politics has long held us back from fully realizing our democratic ideals, and after the Supreme Court's decision in Citizens United v. FEC, dark money has exerted an even greater influence on our elections — and the legislation that gets passed between them.
That is why I am rejecting all corporate PAC money on our campaign for U.S. Senate.
Your voices are simply too important to be drowned out by the corporations and special interests whose massive donations act as a quid pro quo when politicians are elected to office.
