This is crossing the line, John.
It’s been widely reported that Lindsey Graham pressured Georgia's top election official to throw out thousands of mail-in votes.
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger revealed that Sen. Lindsey Graham called him to question the validity of absentee ballots in an effort to reverse President Trump’s loss in the state.
This is a blatant attack on the election process and an attempt to throw out ballots. The Senate Ethics Committee is being asked to investigate Graham’s actions. When the claims are confirmed true, we demand swift consequence: Lindsey Graham must go.
Let’s be clear: pressuring an election official to disqualify thousands of ballots is illegal, unethical, and warrants Sen. Lindsey Graham’s immediate resignation.
Graham is no stranger to bending the rules in his favor. Leading up to the election, Graham relied on voter suppression tactics, gerrymandering, and a Trump-style playbook to win his own Senate race.
Graham is so used to cheating his way to victory, he’s confident he can get away unscathed from these accusations. After the news broke, Graham bragged on Twitter saying: “I must be doing something right when the most radical liberal politicians and media pundits in America are calling for my resignation!”
Every signature makes the case that this kind of behavior from a U.S. Senator is intolerable, and puts pressure on the Senate Ethics Committee to undergo an immediate and thorough investigation.
