For many months, we've been working hard to save our local, independent restaurants. It's been a long, tough fight, but the good news is that our movement just got a big boost.

The New York Times Editorial Board has published its strong support of our restaurant relief bill.

I hope this influential endorsement of legislation we crafted here in Portland with local chefs and restaurateurs will make a big difference because time is running out.

Saving our restaurants can't wait until January. We need action now, especially from Republicans in the Senate.
