Friend,
Young voters sent a strong message to everyone in this country by breaking turn out records, showing up and out in key battleground states, and decisively rejecting the Trump administration’s platform of hate, bigotry, xenophobia, and white supremacy.
Youth turnout this year was 10% higher than in 2016. Youth voters — and specifically youth voters of colors — were key in delivering a victory for a more inclusive and equal future. Youth of color showed once again we are, in fact, the leaders we’ve been waiting on. We are the calvary. We own our futures.
Here at United We Dream Action, we’ve always known that our best chances at achieving justice and equality for our people will only be possible if we continue to invest in youth — particularly youth of color. Why? Because we know first hand the very real pain inflicted by xenophobic policies. We must build a future where those most affected are able to lead us into the future.
It’s why we’re one of the largest immigrant and undocumented advocacy groups led by young immigrants and undocumented people, fighting together. We know how high the stakes are because we face them every day in our real lives.
United We Dream Action is fueled by grassroots supporters like you chipping in a few dollars here and there to emails just like this one. It’s how our team made history this year and it’s how we’ll continue this fight — together. Will you make a donation of any amount today to help us seize on the opportunity of this moment in our movement’s history?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Young people played a major role in a historic election where more votes were cast than ever before. We delivered a decisive win in the name of a brighter future for our generation. And with your help, we’ll continue to fight to break new records as we redefine what’s possible.
Thanks for all you do as a critical member of the team that made history this year.
