Thank you for being on the front lines of the fight to end hunger. The United States is currently facing the gravest hunger crisis in modern times. A staggering 54 million Americans -- more than the combined populations of Florida, Oregon, Ohio, Maine, Georgia, and Montana -- are unable to afford enough food.

We wanted to take a moment to remind you of our critical mission, thank you for being a part of our work, and share some of what we’re able to accomplish together.

Together, we are taking strides to lift us all, by:
* Crafting innovative solutions and improvements to federal food programs;
* Conducting research on the accessibility of nutrition benefits programs;
* Sharing proposals for reducing poverty by expanding the safety net and making healthcare, housing, and childcare affordable;
* Increasing access to food and benefits - such as through Hunger Free NYC, where we connect individuals across all five boroughs with food by helping them apply for SNAP and WIC.
* Connecting thousands of callers each month to food resources in their areas through the National Hunger Hotline.

We are at a moment in this country where we can combine the will of the people to answer a huge need. Together, we can enact the policies and programs necessary to end hunger once and for all.
