Open enrollment for Californians to sign up for healthcare is happening now until January 31st at www.coveredca.com! 

Healthcare is a necessity, not a luxury. I want to encourage my constituents who purchase insurance on their own to take a look at all of the healthcare options available in the marketplace. Not only can insurance keep you healthy and prevent the worst, but if you already have coverage, this is a chance to save money on a better plan. Especially during these unprecedented times, when millions of Californians have lost their jobs due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, it more important than ever to have affordable healthcare.

Since it was passed, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) has ensured that millions who never had access to healthcare can finally afford it. In fact, 12.5 million Californians are covered by Medi-Cal, including 3.7 million through the ACA expansion. And nearly 17 million non-elderly Californians with pre-existing conditions are protected under the ACA. Once again, you have until January 31st to sign up for affordable and comprehensive coverage.
