Last week, I conceded to my opponent. As the votes were being tallied, it was simply clear that my opponent was going to receive more votes than I was. So, I did what politicians have done since the founding of our country: I recognized her victory and my defeat.
It wasn't easy. I was proud of what I accomplished in Congress and was frankly pretty worried about what my opponent would do in Congress. But, I knew then and still know now that upholding our democracy is more important than one election.
There's no two ways about it: Trump needs to concede. Will you join me in calling on Trump to concede today?
Our country has been predicated on the idea that our elected officials step down when they are voted out of office. That was one of the critical tenets at our founding that set us apart from other monarchies and that solidified our democracy.
Now, nearly three hundred years later, we're facing one of the biggest threats to that fundamental rule. Our president is refusing to acknowledge defeat.
We need Trump to recognize that he's lost the election and to concede to Joe Biden today. Will you join me in calling on him to do that?
Thank you for standing up for democracy,
-- Harley

During his time in Congress, he's embraced common sense and values to tackle climate change, address deteriorating infrastructure, confront homelessness, and protect Social Security and Medicare. In 2022, Harley will be facing one of the toughest fights in the entire country, so he's depending on the support of grassroots individuals.
