Friend,
I’ll be upfront: we need to ask you for your financial support.
We raised and spent more this year on election and election-related
campaigns than we can remember in recent memory. And it’s a good thing we
did too! We added key environmental seats in the California Senate, with
priority candidates Dave Min and Josh Newman defeating anti-environmental
incumbents; and fought to hold our environmental seats in the California
Assembly, with victories like helping to defend progressive incumbent
Reggie Jones-Sawyer against corporate interests looking to unseat him.
We also made sure the election was safe and fair, by joining with our
allies to ensure the Secretary of State and Governor did everything they
could to keep voting options available and varied. Our effort here was
also a success, with voter turnout we haven’t seen since the Great
Depression!

election cycle. Join with us by becoming a member during our 2020 Donor
Drive to ensure we have the funds to continue our victories into 2021.
The election is over, but our work doesn’t stop. Even though we feel like
we sprinted a marathon this year, we have to immediately engage our new
and returning lawmakers to ensure our electoral gains turn into climate
action in 2021. We’re running out of time to make a difference in our
fight against the climate crisis, so we must strike now.
[ [link removed] ]Our victories this year don’t exist without grassroots support from
members like you. The only way we can continue to be successful is with
your financial support. Please consider becoming a member with a monthly
gift of $3.00.
Thanks for your support. Our success this year- and next- isn't possible
without your generosity.
Sincerely,
Sean Mc Manus

We believe that radical change is necessary and only by transforming our political system will we create the opportunity to take bold action on climate change. We elect and cultivate environmental champions, turn election victories into policy wins, hold our lawmakers accountable, and build political power for change. We inspire hope and action and fight for equity and justice for all Californians. We are in the business of changing what’s possible.
