Without Democratic control in the Senate, Mitch McConnell and the GOP are going to do everything in their power to block climate legislation and continue Trump’s fossil fuel frenzy.

But here’s the good news. On January 5, both Georgia Senate races will go through run-off elections. If we win these two seats, our chances of passing climate legislation increase exponentially.

No matter what, it will be an uphill battle to pass a Green New Deal – but winning in Georgia is a key first step. These races will be extremely competitive, which is why we're hoping we can count on you today:

We’ve set a goal of raising $50,000 from individual contributions to support grassroots voter outreach in Georgia to help power this victory. And your support today will help power our organizing efforts to win these races:

Over the next month, we will activate and train volunteers around the country to drive record turnout in the runoff. Through phone banks, text banks, and direct voter contact, we're going all in to get out the vote in Georgia.

We’re also proud to support the New Georgia Project Action (NGP) and Southerners on New Ground (SONG) Power. The New Georgia Project’s goal is to register all eligible, unregistered citizens of color in Georgia by the end of the decade. As of September 2019, NGP has registered almost half a million Georgians, in all 159 of Georgia's counties.

SONG Power is a Black and LGBTQ-led group that is building an intersectional movement to transform the South.

It won't be easy to hit our goal of $50,000 to support grassroots voter outreach in Georgia in the lead up to the Senate runoffs, but we can get there if we start right now:
