Hi John,

Two weeks ago I was honored to be re-elected to the State Legislature. And while Texas didn't go blue, Williamson County did—voting for a Democrat for president for the first time in decades. We also made needed change by electing a new sheriff, flipped a constable seat right here in HD 136, and won numerous city council and school board races.

Not everything turned out exactly the way we wanted. But our work continues. Will you join me for the next part of this journey?

With the next legislative session around the corner, there's a lot at stake for Texans. Here's what I'm fighting for:

Protect teacher pay and increase SPED services
Expand Medicaid and reduce maternal mortality
Uphold voting rights and encourage civic participation
Provide COVID-19 relief for families and small businesses
Draw fair maps that ensure voters' voices are heard

We have a lot of work to do. And it won't be easy. But these are fights worth having. I'm as committed and energized as ever to keep fighting for a Texas as good as its promise.
