As
the House and Senate Wednesday named members to represent the chambers in discussions
to reconcile differences in the 2021 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA),

that would require the Department of Defense (DoD) to treat big banks the same
as credit unions when it comes to nominal leases on military bases is not included in the final bill.

releases final GSE capital rule, including NAFCU-sought CTR concessions
The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) Wednesday finalized its re-proposed
rule to establish capital requirements for the government-sponsored enterprises
(GSEs). The release of the rule marks an additional step toward removing the GSEs
– Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac – from conservatorship.

Board set to issue NAFCU-sought proposal on capitalization of interest
The NCUA Board meets today and is expected to issue a proposed rule on capitalization
of interest, which NAFCU has called for to provide additional relief for credit
unions amid the coronavirus pandemic. The board will also receive two briefings,
as well as an update on the 2020 budget.

The CFPB's Credit Union Advisory Council (CUAC) met Wednesday via conference
call alongside the bureau's other advisory councils to discuss two of the
bureau's ongoing efforts related to implementing the Dodd-Frank Act: Section
1071 for small business lending data collection, and section 1033 for consumer access to financial data.
