Get to Know Brian Mast: Congressman, Combat Vet & Fall Dinner Special Guest
Get to know Congressman Brian Mast, and you'll meet an extraordinary American with an exceptional story. This combat veteran and member of Congress has given so much for our country, and he'll be telling his story right here in Indiana next month at the 2019 Team Holcomb Fall Dinner.
Prior to being elected to Congress, Congressman Mast chose to follow in his father's footsteps and joined the U.S. Army. He served our country in uniform for 12 years, earning The Bronze Star Medal, The Army Commendation Medal for Valor, The Purple Heart Medal and The Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
Congressman Mast was deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 as a bomb disposal expert, and then came the day that changed his life forever. An improvised explosive device (IED) detonated and resulted in life-changing injuries, which included the loss of both of his legs.
But Congressman Mast didn't let this incident stop him from serving his country. After retiring from the Army, he continued working in counter-terrorism and national defense to keep Americans safe. And he continues that mission today in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Brian Mast is a true American hero. To hear him tell his story -- and to hear from fellow Congressmen and combat vets Dan Crenshaw and Jim Baird -- RSVP now for the 2019 Team Holcomb Fall Dinner. Tickets are selling quickly, so make sure you don't miss out!
