Dear John,

Right now there are newly elected and re-elected lawmakers in Congress who believe your Social Security and Medicare benefits should be reduced or eliminated.

That's why the National Committee is working fast to demonstrate to our representatives that folks all over this country depend on their benefits, especially during the coronavirus pandemic, and that they've earned every dollar they receive. After all millions of retirees have paid for those benefits with their years of hard work and the contributions they made into these funds that are supposed to help take care of them.

We've seen it time and again, no matter who controls the levers of power in Washington, earned benefits continue to be in the crosshairs of powerful fiscal hawks on Capitol Hill. And so we simply cannot take our benefits for granted especially during this uncertain time!

Every day, the National Committee is meeting virtually with Senators and Representatives, being interviewed by members of the media and acting in your best interests through advocacy, education and grassroots efforts. But all that takes a lot of personnel, a lot of footwork, a lot of time researching — and communicating — the truth. It also takes a lot of money.

John, we are counting on the loyal support of our members and supporters to stop threats to the Social Security and Medicare Trust Funds and to fight for meaningful policies that will improve earned benefits for current and future beneficiaries. Only together can we win this battle for the future of Americans' retirement and health security. So please help us fight for YOU and YOUR EARNED BENEFITS with a contribution in whatever amount you can afford today!

Sincerely,

Max Richtman
President & CEO
